Planned Outage at Hill Data Center March 20-21, 2021:


The Hill Data Center mechanical and electrical infrastructure requires significant maintenance and repair work to be completed in order to continue to provide reliable hosting services to the tenants of the facility. To safely and effectively complete these repairs and accomplish the required maintenance activities, data center services will need to be offline for approximately 24 – 36 hours. This data center work will reduce the risk of outages in the future and make it easier to conduct data center maintenance without major interruptions.

University-wide services, as well as academic and administrative departments housing equipment at Hill Data Center will be affected.

NB IT Services will be specifically:

  • Powering down our equipment on the evening of Friday, 3/19/21 (6PM)
  • Powering up services on the evening of Sunday, 3/21/21 (Completed and verified by 9PM)

We will email only after the power up phase is complete or if there are any specific problems.
